In 1975, Sri Basaveshwara Trading Company was founded with a clear purpose โ to supply high-quality staples such as cereals, pulses, oil, and sugar to families, retailers, and businesses across Karnataka. The founders, driven by honesty, hard work, and a deep connection to agriculture, built a legacy that would soon transform the regional food trade.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the company became a trusted wholesale partner across the southern districts of Karnataka, known for fair pricing, consistent quality, and ethical business practices.

In 2002, BTC Group entered a new era by establishing Sri Basaveshwara Rice Mill, marking the companyโs expansion from trading to manufacturing. This was the first rice industry in Karnataka to adopt advanced Satake rice processing technology from Japan โ a milestone that transformed the regional rice market and set new standards for purity, texture, and aroma.
